Alejandra Alfaro
Research Assistant, Laboratory Technician
As a Research Assistant and Laboratory Technician at Covenant, Alejandra plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations through data entry, patient visits, and the processing and shipping of lab samples. Her work ensures accuracy in data collection and proper handling of biological materials, both of which are essential to maintaining the safety and efficacy standards of clinical trials.
Alejandra is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and trained phlebotomist with five years of experience in research and laboratory support. Her strong skill set includes phlebotomy, attention to detail, multitasking, problem-solving, and time management. She is also bilingual, which allows her to better communicate with a broader patient population and support Covenant's mission of compassionate, inclusive care.
She is deeply committed to ensuring data integrity and lab compliance with sponsor protocols—both critical elements in producing reliable study results that impact patient well-being. Alejandra finds fulfillment in helping others, working alongside her supportive coworkers, and being part of a team led by Dr. Neff. She believes Covenant's success comes from the shared commitment of every employee to make a meaningful difference.
Outside of work, Alejandra enjoys taking nature walks, spending time at the movie theater, and drawing. Her creativity, care for others, and dedication to quality make her an invaluable part of the Covenant team.
