Elisabeth Verwest, B.S.

Clinical Research Coordinator

Elisabeth is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Covenant, where she manages study participants, schedules visits, collects data, and ensures compliance with clinical trial protocols. She works closely with both the internal team and trial sponsors to keep studies running efficiently while prioritizing patient safety and ethical standards throughout the research process.

Originally from Fort Myers, Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Florida. She is also a Certified Nursing Assistant and fluent in Spanish. Before joining Covenant, Elisabeth gained hands-on experience in academic psychology research, studying cognition and decision-making. That early exposure to research and patient interaction helped her build the foundational skills she now uses in a clinical setting.

Elisabeth began her journey at Covenant as a Research Assistant, where she supported Clinical Research Coordinators by performing study procedures and collecting data. This experience allowed her to grow into her current role with a strong understanding of study operations and patient care. She has spent the past year preparing her application for medical school, with plans to continue building on her research and clinical experience.

In her free time, Elisabeth enjoys knitting, reading, and cooking. She grew up as a competitive swimmer and learned to swim before she could walk – a fun fact that speaks to her energy and drive both in and out of the clinic.
