Jaira is a Patient Resource Specialist at Covenant, where she plays a vital role in supporting patient care and clinic operations. She coordinates patient visits, collects and enters clinical data, and acts as a bridge between patients and the clinical team to ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the research process.

Originally from Camuy, Puerto Rico, Spanish is Jaira's first language. She holds an Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technician from National University College in Arecibo, PR, and is certified by both the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPTH). She's also certified in immunization administration and CPR. Before joining Covenant, she worked for several years in retail pharmacy, where she was responsible for medication preparation, insurance claims, pharmacy operations, and direct patient education. That experience gave her a deep understanding of medication management and patient care, along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills that she continues to apply in her current role.

Jaira is passionate about helping others and is motivated by being part of a team that genuinely prioritizes patient health – especially when it comes to liver care. She finds it meaningful to see patients feel supported, understood, and empowered through Covenant's commitment to innovative treatments and compassionate service.
