Katie Decker, ACRC
Clinical Research Coordinator
Katie is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Covenant, where she ensures that clinical trials are conducted in accordance with protocol guidelines. Her role involves managing patient visits, collecting and organizing data, drawing labs, and maintaining strong relationships with participants to help ensure they feel supported and satisfied throughout the study.
Katie began her career in clinical research as a recruiter for personal care product studies. She advanced into roles where she learned to screen and consent patients, review protocols, and manage data – experiences that became a vital stepping stone into her current role at Covenant. Katie is certified in CPR/AED, FibroScan, Phlebotomy and IV Peripheral and Central Lines, and holds an Advanced Clinical Research Coordinator certification. She is also currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Western Governors University.
Katie is deeply motivated by seeing patients respond positively to investigational medications – and finds it especially meaningful when those medications go on to become available to the public.
Originally from Hamilton, New Jersey, Katie now calls Florida home – where she discovered her love for fishing and has caught hundreds of fish since picking up the hobby. She's also a proud dog mom to the best Pomeranian in the world, Daisy.
