Michael is Covenant's Director of Software, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence. In his role, he oversees the organization's software systems, provides staff training and system configuration, and leads the eSource build team to ensure clinical research staff have the most effective digital tools at their fingertips. He also designs and maintains reporting tools that support teams across departments, helping drive data-informed decisions that improve patient care and operational efficiency.

Michael began his career in healthcare as a medical document motorcycle courier while attending college. He later transitioned into data analytics within an IT company, where he helped design medical billing algorithms and provided consulting services for practices across multiple states and specialties. That experience gave him a deep understanding of practice management and the power of data in improving operations. He joined Covenant in 2018 as a senior data analyst and has grown alongside the department ever since.

He studied Business Administration at State College of Florida and Economics at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. Michael is currently pursuing a Certified HIPAA Privacy Security Expert (CHPSE) certification to further strengthen data security and compliance across Covenant's systems.

Born in Ohio and raised across Virginia, Alabama, and Utah as the child of an Air Force family, Michael has a strong sense of adaptability and exploration. He once spent three months riding his motorcycle across the U.S., visiting every state in the lower 48 (Alaska is still on the list). He values the opportunity to contribute to research that delivers better care, while continuously learning and innovating alongside his team.
