Nicholas Kruzdlo, B.S.

Lead Research Assistant Educator, Liver Clinic Assistant

Nicholas is the Lead Research Assistant Educator and Liver Clinic Assistant at Covenant, where he supports new Research Assistants by leading their clinical training and providing education on the disease states treated at the practice. He also sees patients in the Liver Clinic, ensuring they are placed into the appropriate clinical trials if treatment is needed, or guiding them through lifestyle and dietary changes that support their health.

Nicholas began his career at Covenant during his senior year of college as an intern and part-time Research Assistant, handling patient visits and administrative tasks. He then transitioned into the RA Educator role, where he created a standard operating handbook, educational materials, and PowerPoint presentations to strengthen the clinical knowledge of the RA team. While continuing to mentor new staff, Nicholas also supports the Liver Clinic and occasionally steps into patient visits himself to keep his skills sharp.

He holds a B.S. in Biology from Florida Gulf Coast University and is currently applying to medical school. What drives Nicholas in his role is the alignment between his personal values and Covenant's mission – especially the organization's commitment to spending meaningful time with patients and leading the fight against metabolic dysfunction nationwide.

Originally from Lumberton, New Jersey, Nicholas played ice hockey throughout his youth and competed internationally, facing teams from Canada and China. During college, he conducted research on Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which was selected for presentation at an international conference in Arizona – an experience that further fueled his passion for medicine.
