Raymond is a Research Assistant at Covenant, where he supports the coordination of patient visits, manages data collection and entry, and assists with laboratory work when needed. He is currently training to transition into the Clinical Research Coordinator role as his interest in clinical research deepens and his skills continue to grow.

Born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, Raymond earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida. Before entering the world of research, he worked in hospitality – an experience that helped him develop strong interpersonal and communication skills that now play an essential role in working with patients and the research team.

Raymond is currently preparing to apply to Physician Assistant and medical school, motivated by a deep desire to help bring life-changing treatments to people living with illnesses that have limited or no existing cures. The opportunity to be part of that impact drives his work each day.

When he's not at work, Raymond is usually working on something with a motor. He has a deep curiosity for how things function and a passion for fixing and modifying machines – whether it's improving performance, aesthetics, or both. Much of his free time is dedicated to restoring his grandfather's pickup truck, a meaningful project that blends personal challenge with family legacy. When he's not in the garage, you'll likely find him out on the water, always chasing the next great catch.
