Richard Talbott is the Investigational Drug Specialist at Covenant. In his role, he supports the clinical research team by receiving, monitoring, and dispensing investigational product—ensuring accurate documentation for inventory, return shipments, and destruction. Richard also helped implement an improved dispensing procedure that enhances product verification and aligns with industry best practices.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Richard earned a B.A. in Biology from Kenyon College and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University. Before joining Covenant, he managed a psychiatric pharmacy within a community mental health center. That experience strengthened his ability to support patients in vulnerable situations, sharpened his leadership skills, and gave him the confidence to navigate complex organizational expectations.

Richard has had a long-standing interest in pharmaceutical clinical research, dating back to his time in pharmacy school. As a type 1 diabetic, he's personally driven to support research that improves metabolic health and helps others manage chronic conditions. He's proud to play a part in advancing new treatments that can truly impact patients' lives and their long-term well-being.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys bird watching and playing golf. He's also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren—with a fourth on the way!
