Savannah Peterson, B.S., CCRC

Clinical Lead, Clinical Research Coordinator

Born and raised in Ruch, Oregon, Savannah holds a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Oregon University. She has been a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator through ACRP since 2012. Savannah began her research career as a research assistant in respiratory trials before advancing to coordinator roles, where she gained over a decade of experience managing studies in COPD, asthma, atopic dermatitis, and allergies. After moving to Florida in 2021, she worked for three years on cardiovascular device research in a hospital lab before joining Covenant in December 2023.

Savannah currently serves as both a Clinical Research Coordinator and the Clinical Lead at Covenant's Fort Myers clinic. In her role, she manages patient visits for clinical trials, oversees data collection and entry, and works closely with study sponsors and monitors. As Clinical Lead, she supervises the front desk, laboratory, RAs, and CRCs to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for both research participants and liver scan patients.

Her passion for research is fueled by her love of working directly with patients and helping improve their health. Looking ahead, she hopes to pursue a master's degree in research and is interested in learning to speak Spanish to better serve diverse patient populations.

Outside of work, Savannah enjoys fishing and boating with her family, and she has a deep love for travel––having visited over 15 countries, including a recent trip to Peru to see Machu Picchu. She and her husband also run a greenhouse where they grow and breed various species of carnivorous plants.
